Designed to give a traditional data center virtualization technology which at the same time Red Hat continues to compile against OpenStack technology, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization enables companies to deploy traditional and elastic workloads on their existing infrastructure without affecting the level of service, performance or scalability.

The latest version of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization allows customers to use a set of services OpenStack (Compute, Storage and Network) that can be used by their datacenter virtualization platform via the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, as well as their private cloud via the Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform.

With a cohesive environment between Private Cloud and data center, various companies claimed now able to deploy traditional workloads and elastic without having to duplicate the infrastructure layer.

The latest release of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization includes several features of infrastructure, network and storage to increase developer portability across heterogeneous cloud environments, including:

-. The new self-hosted machine, allowing the implementation of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager as a virtual machine on the host, reducing hardware requirements;

-. Back-up and restore API integration now includes a new backup infrastructure that provides a broad set of APIs for third-party software vendors to perform backup and restore to their virtual machines.

-. Support for OpenStack OpenStack Glance and Neutron, which allows users to store their virtual machine templates and allows configuration of advanced network infrastructure that can be shared between the private cloud and datacenter virtualization.

Radhesh Balakrishnan, General Manager of Virtualization & OpenStack Red Hat said, improvements of Red Hat KVM hypervisor consistent to open and offers simultaneously virtualization management now enable more customers to take control of their data centers and build individual path to cloud infrastructure personal.
